Dee Lebovits

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and a certified trauma therapist for children and families. I have helped hundreds of families heal and move on to have the quality of life they never thought possible.

I am also the founder of Self Portrait Groups, LLC, a workshop helping young girls build self-esteem through the art of photography. I have many years of experience working with children and families with a strong emphasis on empowerment, especially with minorities and underserved communities.

Outside of my private practice, I work at the Jane Barker Brooklyn Child Advocacy Center as a Supervising Clinical Forensic Specialist, providing evidence base trauma treatment to victims of a crime and their families. At the BCAC, I implement Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) where I was trained through Yale’s Childhood Violent Trauma Clinic.

I provide the latest techniques in the treatment of trauma and continue to advance my studies in the field so that I can bring you the best and most advanced intervention to effectively help you heal.

While I treat clients of all cultures and faiths, I use my proficiency in the Yiddish language and in my knowledge and true understanding of the Jewish Orthodox community to serve those in need of my services.

I’m available for a free consultation. During COVID 19, I provide telehealth services only.
